I paid over $1,800 for mine at the time, I expect a product that works as it should. But instead Samsung is shipping their “top of the line” soundbar out knowing that it probably isn’t going to work as it should. Samsung lost a customer for life, but I know they don’t care. Please do yourself a favor and avoid their soundbars.

I even tried to crank up the volume level up to +6 and tried every sound mode from standard to adaptive but still the same. Called the support department to get a new replacement. Like many other people i have been experiencing speakers disconnect right out of the box.

When this item works, it’s the best sound bar on the market. I am on my second sound bar now and both sound bars have had intermittent disconnects for both the left speaker and subwoofer every few seconds, will work for another few minutes, then do it again. This is quite simply unacceptable on the part of Samsung when we are talking about a $2000 sound bar. When the item works, the sound quality and features are top of the market.
Hoping Samsung releases a permanent fix for this issue of disconnects because if you search forums, you’ll find it a common issue. The left rear speaker continually drops the sound! I’ve even had the whole sound bar swapped once and the replacement started dropping right out of the box!! Beyond aggrivating for the price point of this set up! Also samsung support is completely useless when you call. Like others have said they make it sound like you’re the only one on the planet with this issue.
I’m praying a software/firmware fix will be rolled out. Most sound bars have a cylindrical design, but the HT-BD8200 is long, thin, and flat. The edges of the HT-BD8200 feature a translucent black plastic, whereas the majority of the front is dominated by matte-black speaker grilles.
The day i got them back from samsung "repair", it now turns off by itself constantly while using—about once every 3-5 minutes. The right front side channel + rear channels have a loud static noise. It also came with a bulge in the main speaker front grill. I'm now having to send it back for the 2nd time literally the day i got it back from them. They refuse to refund or just send me a new pair. I will never buy anything labeled samsung again—wish i never bought in first place and waste my time trying to figure out how to ship a massive faulty product in a massive box again and again.
